Do I need experience to enroll?+
No prior masonry experience is needed to begin learning the fundamentals. If you already work in construction, speak with us about your experience and the training that fits your goals.
How long does the Masonry program take?+
Plan for approximately 300 clock hours. A full-time schedule is typically around 6–8 weeks; part-time attendance takes longer. Your advisor will confirm the schedule and completion requirements.
What does open entry, open exit mean?+
You can start throughout the year rather than wait for a semester, attend full time or part time on an agreed schedule, and complete training as you meet the required hours and skills. We offer weekly starts. Contact admissions to confirm your start date and available training hours.
What is NCCER?+
The National Center for Construction Education and Research develops construction training curricula and credentials. Phoenix Masonry School is an Accredited Training Sponsor. Credentials are earned by completing the applicable knowledge and performance requirements.
Is the training online?+
Our Online Learning Program offers self-paced lessons and video instruction from your own location. Ask about combining online study with two intensive weeks of hands-on training in Phoenix. Our in-person certificate programs remain available.
What does tuition cost?+
Course tuition ranges from $1,250 to $15,000, depending on the course taken, before any grant or scholarship you qualify for. Eligible support can reduce your out-of-pocket cost. Ask admissions for a written cost breakdown for your selected course.
Can I get help paying for school?+
Ask about WIOA through ARIZONA@WORK, ESA for eligible students, scholarships, and financing options. Eligibility, program approval, and funding availability must be confirmed with the relevant organization.
Is this paid training?+
School attendance itself is not paid employment. A work-study arrangement may be possible when a contractor hires a student before completion; availability depends on the employer and the student’s circumstances.
Do you help students find work?+
The school provides career support and connections with contractors and other industry contacts. Hiring decisions are made by employers; completion does not guarantee a job.
