A school for people ready to build.

Phoenix Masonry School helps people develop the skills, experience, and confidence to take their next step in construction. Our veteran-owned and operated school is based in Phoenix, Arizona.

Training starts with the fundamentals and progresses through hands-on practice. Experienced instructors focus on layout, mortar, level work, finishing, and the habits behind consistent workmanship.

Our open-entry, open-exit approach helps students build an attendance plan around their goals and responsibilities.

OWNER & FOUNDER

Charlie Cummins

Charlie has worked in masonry since 1963 and has taught the trade since 1980. A Vietnam-era U.S. Navy Seabees veteran, he brings decades of practical experience to every lesson.

He spent 20 years contracting in Alaska on city, state, and federal projects, including schools and military-related construction. In 2019, he founded Phoenix Masonry School to pass that experience on through hands-on training.
